Charity music bash at The Engineer in Newhaven

A day of live music, a hog roast and stalls will be on offer at the Engineer in Newhaven on Saturday August 10 from 2pm until 11pm.

Bands will include Badger Attack, V.O.X, Kangaroo Juice , The Firm and Jelly Head.

There will be a coconut shy, face painting and cake stalls,

Entry to the event in Railway Road will cost £3, but under 14s go free if they are accompanied by an adult.

County councillor Peter Charlton has volunteered to go in the stocks from 2pm and visitors will be able to throw wet sponges at him.

Money raised will go to Help for Heroes. Landlord Bob Daniels said they decided to organise the event in aid of the charity because several customers at the pub had previously fought in Afghanistan and been injured.
