Oakfest, organised by Matt Parsons and his dad John, takes place on Saturday (May 3) at the Royal Oak in Peasmarsh from 12 noon - midnight. There will be a quality line-up of bands on two stages as well as a barbecue and a raffle. There is no entry charge, but you have to pay at least £1 to leave. All the bands have donated their time for free.

Andy was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. He had four months of chemotherapy and an amputation at the age of 17. He also had two operations on both lungs to remove tumours. On his 18th Birthday he was told he would not recover. He sadly lost his battle and passed away in February 2004.

The concert is to mark the tenth anniversary of his death and raise funds to help others.
