Runners entered either the 10k, 5k or children’s run on Thursday May 14.

A huge crowd of spectators braved the earlier inclement weather to support the event which saw the runners complete a circuit of the lakes at Ashburnham.

The event has raised significant funds for the three charities supported by Out Of The Blue: Winston’s Wish, Dragonflies and the Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team.

It also aimed to raise awareness of mental health and suicide. Many organisations attended and provided information and advice on mental health issues and suicide prevention. Representatives included Health in Mind, Grassroots suicide prevention, Papyrus ,Hastings and Rother Mind and CALM amongst others.

Organisers Katie and Lex Beckett said they were overwhelmed by the numbers who came to support the event and would like to thank all who came to run or watch.

They are now hoping the run will become an annual event.
