Free blood pressure tests will be offered in the Cliffe Precinct in Lewes on Saturday April 18.
High blood pressure causes over half of all strokes in the UK.
As a result the Rotary Club of Lewes Castle and trained nurses will provide free blood tests from 10am - 2pm in the town centre.
It will only take a few minutes to be tested but it could tell you that you need to take action to combat your blood pressure.
A spokesperson for the Rotary Club of Lewes said: “These events can play a big role in reducing strokes across the country.
“It’s clear from our work that high blood pressure is far more common than you would think.”
