Parents and carers looking for a fun day out with the kids are invited to take them along to monkey around at the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) Hastings and Rother branch, Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party this coming weekend.
The fun-filled family event, which takes place on Sunday (August 23) at St Helen’s Woods Barbeque area, Hastings, 2-4pm, will help raise money to support new and expectant parents.
Many activities to keep children entertained are planned, including, arts and crafts, mask making, a bouncy castle, singing, dancing, music making, face painting and games to play as well as raising funds for the NCT charity.
Fern Owst, Branch Coordinator NCT Hastings and Rother Branch says becoming a parent is an exciting time, but it can bring challenges too. “With the funds raised by Cheeky Monkeys Tea Parties, NCT can continue to support families to prepare for the changes a baby brings and reach out to those in danger of isolation, she said.
“NCT strives to give all new parents the skills, knowledge and decision-making powers to enable them to be confident parents.”
Fern said the tea party will be a lot of fun. “With lots of exciting activities planned, we’re determined to make NCT Hastings & Rother branch’s Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party the best ever, with fun, games, face painting and taster sessions from local children’s activity providers, plus, Usborne Books will be there too.
“We hope to see lots of families there!”
