CHEERS AS UCKFIELD FM GOES ON AIR

UCKFIELD FM hit the airwaves at 8am on Monday with a rousing cheer from guests at a launch in Pizza Express.

The radio station '“ broadcasting for the next month to the town and surrounding villages '“ will support the two-week festival which begins next Friday.

Radio station chairman Paddy Rea said: 'The outlook of the whole station is that this a community event, bringing the community together and getting the community joining in with the festival.

'We think we have been pretty successful at that over the years. This is our fourth broadcast and it can only get bigger and better.'

'The lovely part is that it is the community that benefits in conjunction with what we do with the festival.'

Listen to Uckfield FM on 87.9FM. It is on air 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
