Cheque presentation to palliative care nurse
Maggie Janes, past chairman of the Bexhill Branch of the National Association of Tangent Clubs, presented a cheque for £350 to Pauline Ablett, the local Palliative Care Nurse, last week.
The money will go towards new beds for terminally ill patients in the Irvine Unit at Bexhill Hospital.
Maureen Shuttleworth, secretary, said: "Maggie chose Palliative Care as her charity for her year in office in recognition of the very professional and kind help Pauline gave her son, Nick, during the final weeks of his life."
