Chichester Blockbuster saved but Bognor Regis store axed

More than 200 Blockbuster video rental stores across the country have been saved after a buyout of the company.

264 stores throughout the country will continue to operate as usual, which means more than 2,000 jobs have been saved.

Blockbuster has been bought by Gordon Brothers Europe, a global private equity and investment company.

Former HMV UK and Ireland commercial director Gary Warren has been appointed as managing director of Blockbuster.
