Children from the nursery on Spitalfield Lane arranged a host of fun activities to celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Midcounties Co-operative Society, a child care provider which runs the nursery.

Youngsters got involved with a host of activities including party games, cake decorating, and a traditional birthday tea. With the help of nursery colleagues, they also put up balloons and banners in honour of the occasion.

Sharon Bowell, manager at The Co-operative Childcare in Chichester, said: “The Midcounties Co-operative’s 10th birthday is an important milestone and we are extremely proud to be a part of the Society.

“We wanted to do something fun to mark the special day, and letting the children organise it was a great way to get them engaged.”

The nursery, which is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, has three age-specific rooms catering for children aged three months to five years and the baby room has its own separate milk kitchen for preparing feeds.
