Chichester university celebrates its rich heritage

THE UNIVERSITY of Chichester will be holding a number of heritage open days this September.

Members of the public will be able to tour the Chichester campus on Friday, September 7, and Saturday, September 8, to discover facts about the university’s history, including supporting the Olympics.

This will be an opportunity for people to learn about the former life of a university which now employs about 1,000 people and educates more than 5,000 students each year.

There will be other themed tours, including the campus grounds on Friday from 11.30am to 1pm and 3.30pm to 4.30pm, as well as tours of the historic buildings from 11.15am to 12.45pm.

Meanwhile on Thursday, September 6, visitors will be able to visit the Bognor campus, which includes the former holiday home of members of the royal family during the 19th century.
