Chiddingly Speedwatch campaign group looking for volunteers

The Speedwatch team in Chiddingly is looking for volunteers to help campaign for safer driving in the village.

The speedwatch team recently held its first campaign in the village and said it wanted to thank the drivers who supported them.

During the speedwatch campaign 160 drivers were monitored in three hours and only one person was recorded driving above the speed limit.

The Speedwatch team said it is not monitoring the traffic to catch people but rather to raise awareness of speeding.

It called for drivers to be civil when they spot the group.

The Speedwatch team are looking for volunteers.

Volunteering would mean committing one to two hours, two to three times a year, and you would be enrolled in a training course.
