Children enjoy royal-themed day

The nursery held a birthday tea party enjoying jam tarts that the children had helped to make and sharing a birthday cake.

The children have also been working together to design a birthday card that has been sent to the queen.

Emma Bamford, nursery manager, explained: “The children adore the Queen and learning all about the Royal family.

“They also love celebrating birthdays so having the chance to enjoy a royal-themed birthday party to commemorate the Queen’s 90th birthday created a huge amount of excitement in the nursery. We had a fabulous day and hope that the Queen enjoyed her special day as much as we did on her behalf.”
