Children enthralled by the PuppetKru at Horley church fun day

People of all ages flocked to a church in Horley on Saturday when they held a fun day.

St Bartholomew’s Church in Church Road hosted the event offering tea, cake, craft and music for the afternoon.

Children were particularly enthralled by performances from the PuppetKru, a group of puppeteers made up of members from Horley’s three Anglican churches.

Celebrating their 15th anniversary this year, they take familiar pop songs and change the words to give them a Christian message.

Children there enjoyed face painting, having their favourite animals created by a balloon modeller.

The parish is preparing to hold another fun day, this time at St Wilfrid’s Church in Horley Row. On Saturday September 10 the church is inviting people to the church between 12pm and 3pm for a barbecue, games for the children including a bouncy castle, tombola and bric-a-brac and a cake stall.
