RESIDENTS, visitors and staff raced around a Littlehampton nursing home in wheelchairs on Friday in aid of Children in Need.

Summerlea House Residential and Nursing Home in East Street took part in the national day and raised over 400 for the charity.

The home also had a cake stall and a raffle over the weekend and the staff, dressed in pyjamas, held an egg and spoon race.

She said: "It was a very long way and at the end I was very tired but pleased that I have helped other children. I would like to thank my school friends at St Margarets in Angmering and the customers of Dinky Doo Diner in Littlehampton who sponsored me over 90."
