Children present cheque
A CHEQUE for £2453.21 was presented to a representative from Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice at a school assembly on Friday morning.
The Findon Valley Residents’ Association (FVRA) raised the amount through its ‘Spirit of Christmas’ late-night shopping and community event.
The total included £368 raised by children from the Vale First and Middle School in Vale Avenue, Findon Valley, who made and sold Christmas decorations at the event.
The cheque handover took place during a morning assembly at the school.
Maggie Winter, FVRA Christmas committee chairman, said she was impressed with the children.
