Children show best moves on dance floor

CHILDREN and adults took to the dance floor at a Sompting church for a family fun music event.

Sompting United Reformed Church, in Cokeham Lane, held a Family Praise Party led by gospel singer/songwriter Ishmael on March 22.

Youth leader for the church Sheila Dyer said: “Everyone who came really enjoyed themselves. There were young people wearing blue t-shirts to help demonstrate the actions along with the songs.”

All were welcome to join in and free and tea was offered after the performance.

Ishmael is a deacon at Chichester Cathedral and has written hundreds of songs for children.

On the day, the church floor was cleared for everyone to dance while Ishmeal performed, accompanied by his animated music videos.

Sheila added that the gospel singer’s show was a rare treat for the congregation and everyone got involved.
