Children will benefit from Mary’s musical legacy

Money raised from a Memorial Fund set up by Mary’s family to remember the seven-year-old will children benefit from music therapy,

Mary loved music and was learning to play the violin at the time of her death.

She was taking part in The Music Well, a Rye based charity, which offers music therapy to children who have suffered trauma.

The Music Well was set up by Liz Butt who is a state registered music therapist and a member of the Health Professions Council and has been running since 2004.

The Music Well has resources of drum circle leaders, singing leaders, music teachers, music therapists and musicians who are able to offer services to local schools and visit the housebound.

The fund had reached £4,357 of its £5,000 target at the time of going to press.
