Children's artwork links twinned towns

A STEADY flow of visitors admired paintings which linked Bognor Regis with one of its twin towns.

The 30-plus artworks were put on show in the Regis School of Music in Sudley Road by Bognor Regis Twinning Association.

They were submitted by children at Downview Primary School in Felpham, Nyewood C of E Junior School in Bognor and Rose Green Junior School along with the two schools in Trebbin in Germany.

The paintings depicted the pupils’ expressions of many of two towns’ buildings and views, and was regarded as being successful in bringing the younger residents of the two towns together.

But the exhibition’s organisers, twinning association members Terry Armistead and Bob Bonner, said they were disappointed there were no entries from Weil-am-Rhein, Bognor’s other German twin town. Its schools were also invited to take part.
