At the end of the month, on May 29, the choir will perform at Twickenham Rugby ground which will be heaving with around 60,000 rugby lovers of all ages anticipating the Old Mutual Wealth Cup match between England and Wales.

Prior to the kick-off, Concentus will be entertaining the crowd on the concourse with a selection of songs in four-part harmonies.

Then, on being called out onto the green turf, Concentus will march out with a full military band and lead the excited crowd in the well-loved songs of Jerusalem and the National Anthem.

Concentus members are thrilled to have been asked and there is such an air of anticipation within the 90-strong choir that rehearsals have taken on an even greater feeling of community spirit.

Adrian White, Concentus’ musical director, is overwhelmed at the opportunity to take the choir to such a prestigious venue.

He said, “This opportunity is a once in a lifetimes chance for choir members to experience something that cannot be bought.”
