Choir's Celebration of Christmas

There's a special treat coming to Battle next Friday (December 9) when renowned ladies choir Cantabile return to sing a Celebration of Christmas the Emmanuel Centre, Battle Methodist Church.

This will be the second visit for the award-winning ladies choir led by Molly Townson, following what a spokesperson for the church describes as ‘a wonderful concert last year’, adding:

“Molly is known nationally as a mezzo-soprano, music festival adjudicator and President of the Hastings Music Festival.

“The programme will include popular seasonal choral music, old and new, accompanied by audio-visual images - an Emmanuel Centre speciality!”

Proceeds from the event will be shared between local charity St Michael’s Hospice, which is based in St Leonards and the Emmanuel Centre which is home to Battle Methodist Church.

Advance tickets for Celebration of Christmas cost £6 and include interval mulled punch and mince pies.

Tickets can be purchased from Cook, Mount Street, Battle and Spoilt Rotten on the Abbey Green and the Emmanuel Centre. T

Tickets on the door will be £8 as available.

The event commences at 7pm.

Emmanuel Centre is located in Harrier Lane, off Marley Lane, Battle.

There is full disabled access and free on-site parking.
