The choir has a wide repertoire of songs from 1940s swing to 1990s pop.

New Melodians’ spokeswoman Linda Vaughan said the group was keen to support the air ambulance service.

She explained that the work the services does was vitally important and that it was one of those ‘crucial’ charities which could be called out to save the life of anyone in the county.

She added that this year the choir has already helped to raise funds for Rustington WI, Worthing Stroke Club and Rustington Women’s Fellowship.

Tickets for this month’s concert are £4 per person.
