Chris' homage to Sven's men

FOOTBALL mania has literally taken over at Chris Selkirk's house.

The England fanatic has turned his home in Pankhurst Rise into a red and white shrine to spur on Sven's lads as they embark on their Euro 2004 campaign this weekend.

He's spent a small fortune on St George's flags, bunting, ribbons, face-paints and memorabilia and has left his neighbours in no doubt that his heart will be in Portugal for the coming fortnight.

Chris said: "You see flags on all the cars but I thought I'd take it one stage further and turn the whole house into an England zone. People stop and stare at it and always walk away smiling. It gives people a lift and this sort of thing hopefully gives the team a lift as well."

And as for England's chances? "I think we could win it," he said, "and could pull it off against France on Sunday." COME ON ENGLAND!
