Christmas carols raise money for Action for Children in Shoreham

SCHOOLCHILDREN were on song as they performed Christmas carols for shoppers.

Pupils from Eastbrook Primary School, Southwick, sang in the atrium of the Holmbush Centre, in Shoreham, on Friday, December 12.

More than 30 children took part, performing a collection of traditional Christmas songs and carols, as well as playing percussion instruments.

The youngsters were part of a fund-raising drive at the centre, in aid of charity Action For Children, formerly known as NCH.

John Young, of the charity, said: "We had a very good day with excellent musical support from the Edwardians, Lancing Methodist Music Group and Eastbrook Primary School.

"As a result, I was able to bank 566.50.

"I would like to thank all those who supported and took part in the collection day."
