Christmas crafts boost Bonfire Boyes

FOLLOWING an amazing night in November Battel Bonfire Boyes have already started their fund-raising for next year’s event with a successful and well supported Christmas Craft Fayre on Saturday.

The event, now in its second year, adds to the calendar of Craft Fayres the boyes run throughout the year.

Matt Southam, from the Bonfire Society, said: “As always there was a good selection of stalls for shoppers to pick up some Christmas presents plus for the young Santa’s Grotto was open with the man himself on hand to remind people Christmas is just around the corner.

The bonfire Boyes want to thank all the stall holders, businesses who donated prizes to the raffle and everyone who turned up and supported the event.

Their next event will be a New Years Eve Party to be held at Battle Memorial Hall. There will be a bar and DJ with tickets going on sale soon.
