Other attractions included raffles, tombolas, bric-a-brac, penalty shoot-out and a guess the weight of the cake competition.

Organiser Cllr Charles Clark said: "The money goes to the community association and helps with things like the running costs of the building, which are considerable."

The neighbouring Pebsham Sports and Social Club will be holding its Christmas party for pensioners shortly.

The club, which provides live entertainment, quizzes, bingo and themed events, is welcoming new members.
