Preparations are underway for Peacehaven Town Council’s Christmas Festival which will take place on Saturday December 14.
Stalls in Meridian Park will feature side shows and the Lions will have their Santa Sleigh and hot chestnuts.
Santa’s Grotto will run through the afternoon and it will cost just £1,50 for children to meet him and get their hands on a generous goodie bag.
All the proceeds will go to the Mayor’s Charity.
The event runs from 2pm until 6pm with Santa’s Grotto running from 3pm to 5pm.
A local children’s author will be in the library reading some of his books and signing copies.
There will be a treasure hunt in the Mall and a painting competition in the Co-op Cafe.
In Community House at the Meridian Centre there will be street dance workshops and displays, while wrestlers from this year’s show sharing some of their moves with fans.
But the town council is still looking for activities and attractions for the afternoon.
Mayor Rachael Coles said: “We are still looking to attract as many people as possible to the event and the only way we can do that is to have a variety of activities to encourage them along.”
The stall holders for the Mini Market are donating their fee to the Mayor’s Charity and the raffle prizes have been donated by businesses and the Co-Op.
At 5.30pm the Salvation Army and a local school choir will be singing carols in the park.
If anyone would like to come along contact Steve Keogh for more details by phoning the town council office on 01273 585493.
