It might only be October, but it’s still a good time to put a date in your diaries for Seaford Christmas Magic and Late Night Shopping.
Father Christmas will join the mayor of Seaford Anthony White to switch on the lights on Friday December 6 at 5.30pm in Broad Street.
Funfair rides will line the side streets in the town centre and there will be performances by choirs, singers and other entertainers.
Seaford Christmas Magic and Late Night Shopping will run from 5pm-8pm with many of the town centre shops open late for people to do their Christmas shopping.
Broad Street, Place Lane, High Street and Sutton Road will close to all traffic at 2.30pm to allow stalls and entertainment areas to be set up.
The fun begins at 5pm with the opening of stalls selling food and gifts.
Local community groups and charities will also set up stalls to raise essential funds to support their services.
Archway Choir from Seaford have confirmed they will perform and the town council is hoping Seaford Silver Band will attend too.
Last year’s event was a great success with dry weather, when the night before Sussex was deluged by torrential rain.
Many of the traders dressed up in festive costumes to get into the spirit of the night.
Hundreds of people descended on the town centre to enjoy the festivities.
