The charity Christmas card shop in Rye opens at Rye Community Centre on Saturday from 10am, with a coffee morning with a continental flavour.

Galettes, madeleines, amaretti and other biscuits from across the Channel will be on offer with a hot drink alongside the annual display of 250 plus cards from more than 30 charities.

Shop manager Jane Nunn said: “The town crier, Rex Swain, will be helping us make our presence known. The Oliver Curd Trust is also lending its dolphins Dolly and Dylan to help publicise our 2015 launch.

The shop will be open from 10am-4pm Tuesday to Saturday until Christmas. The Cards for Good Causes shop in the Rye Community Centre, Conduit Hill, has been open each year, almost continuously, for 20 years.
