English Martyrs Catholic Church, in Goring Way, Goring, received the prestigious award thanks largely to its impressive ceiling, which is a hand painted replica of the ceiling found in the Sistine Chapel in Rome.
Parish secretary Anne Niven said: “It came as a total surprise and we are absolutely delighted.”
