Diners will be asked to gather at 12.30pm to sit down at 1pm. Each course will have two options to be chosen on the day.

The vicar, the Rev William Marston, said: “This will be a wonderful way in which to join together in celebrating Easter. It would be great to welcome people from the local area.

Seats at the lunch, which costs £5, should be booked on the list in the church’s entrance or by phoning the vicarage on 01243 586348 by the end of Easter Sunday.

The church has also invited people to join its beach service at dawn on Sunday. They should meet at the church at 6.25am to walk to the beach.

Hot rolls and soup can be taken along for breakfast. Church services will be held at 8, 9.45 and 11.15am
