The Town Mayor Cllr Bridget George will attend the service and will also read scripture.

Music will be provided by Paul Abnett on keyboard, and Andy and Evan Gill who will play trumpets. There will also be a Timbrel Group made up of the young, and less young, from Christchurch Methodist church.

Organiser Ken Hutchinson commented: "Last year we had 400 people attending and we filled the DLWP downstairs so we are hoping for that again."

The service, which will be preceded by a procession with the Cross, follows the weekly Open Air Hymn Singing sessions which have been held at the Colonnade during June and July.
