PEOPLE who need information from the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in the Peacehaven area now have a service in a bigger venue with better facilities.
Thanks to a partnership between East Sussex County Council’s library and information service and Peacehaven CAB, residents now have a CAB service every Tuesday in Peacehaven Library at the Meridian Centre.
The service has been running for two weeks with morning sessions only but from this week (Tuesday July 19), the CAB opening times will be from 9.45am-12.30pm and then from 1.30pm-3.30pm.
The move to the library means the CAB can offer its drop-in service at a convenient and larger venue with improved wifi.
The CAB sessions are in addition to online advice at www.citizensadvice.org.uk.
CAB district manager Jackie Wilkes said: “With debt continuing to be a very significant problem we wanted to make sure that people get all the support they need.
“Debt is often a particularly complex set of problems for which individuals require skilled help so we are delighted to be able to offer a dedicated money advice service for this community.
“Furthermore, we see our move into the library at Peacehaven as a win win as not only does it provide better facilities, but also a pleasant environment for people to wait in.”
