Citizens Advice Bureaux in Seaford and Lewes offer five day service

CITIZENS Advice Bureaux in Seaford and Lewes changed their opening hours to ensure a five day service.

This means people will be able to access free and independent advice from Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.45pm.

District manager Jackie Wilkes: “We worked with our staff and trustees to see how we could improve our service within current budgetary restraints and I’m pleased to say that we have managed to provide five days of advice across the district without having to incur any additional expense.

“This has been achieved thanks to the flexibility and dedication of our staff and volunteers who are working tirelessly to try and help people in these difficult times.

“In the first three quarters of 2010/11 we saw a 17 per cent increase in the number of clients coming to our bureaux compared with the same period last year, despite staff and volunteer numbers remaining the same.”

To volunteer call Jackie on 01273 477924. No previous experience or qualifications necessary.

The bureaux are part of a network of charities providing advice on money, legal and other problems.

For advice call Lewes CAB on 01273 473082 or Seaford on 01323 896209.
