Claremont musicians raise over £600

Over 100 students from Claremont School performed at All Saints Church, Hastings on Monday March 18, to raise money for the welfare fund of the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment.

The audience enjoyed a wide range of musical entertainment, including performances from two of the school’s recent prize-winning choirs at the Hastings Musical Festival (The Claremont Junior Singers and the Prep School Boys’ Choir), Nicole and Josephine Edmunds (violin) who played Pachelbel’s Canon and the Schubert String Trio in B flat and Donya Rafati, who performed her own composition on pianoforte “Mountain Waves”. Director of Music, Monica Esslin-Peard commented: “ I would like to thank all the students, parents, staff and the audience for making this such a memorable event.
