Just a year after Sussex and England cricketer Mike Yardy, opened a multi-million pound Sports complex at the new Claremont Senior School in Bodiam, there was celebration there once again as they unveiled a brand new Sixth Form block.

The block has been designed to their specification for approximately 100 students.

This new £1.5mn facility was officially opened by former Head of Benenden School and Claremont Advisory Board member, Gillian duCharme, who praised staff and management for the pace at which they had grown the school from its inauguration just three years ago.

Headmaster Giles Perrin, commented: “The pace of growth of the school has surprised everyone, which has enabled us to bring forward investment into new facilities to meet an obvious need in the local market for quality, affordable, private education.”

It was an exciting day too for the first crop of students to occupy the building, most of whom are the founding students of the Senior School and who will have exclusive use of this new facility until joined by the next group of students in 2015.

Claremont is inviting students who wish to join this new Sixth Form in September 2015 to sit Scholarship Examinations at the school on 3rd, 4th and 5th November.

Interested students should call the school on 01580 830396 or via email [email protected]. Generous Scholarships are being offered to students who have achieved at least 5 A grades at GCSE.
