The cars will leave Camber Sands about 2.30pm and drive in convoy to Rye where they will cruise twice through the town’s narrow streets before making for the station car park where people can take a closer look at the special and rare machines.

There are eight prize categories including Best Pre-65 American, Best Hot Rod and The Mayor’s Choice.

The prizes, which consist of specially commissioned hand painted plates made by Rye Pottery and sponsored by Rye Chamber of Commerce, Rye Hotels and Caterers Association and Rye Marketing Group will be presented by the Mayor of Rye Cllr John Breeds at about 3.30pm.

Organiser Frank May said: “It should be a great afternoon. Don’t forget your cameras and cam-corders.”
