Coastal Currents Kicks Off

ART in unusual places is the theme of this year's Coastal Currents.

The annual event, now in its sixth year, got off to a lively start on Saturday as street entertainers wowed crowds in Hastings town centre.

Hijinks from characters such as the Lost Ramblers, the amazing Mahoney Brothers and towering football duo Wreckham and Bookem amused and entertained those gathered.

The festivities continued into the evening with a contemporary dance spectacle by Rainbow Arts Group at Hastings Castle, followed by a late-night pyrotechnic circus extravaganza at Alexandra Park. Sunday featured a performance from DAB community arts group in Wellington Place.
