Coastguard called after four children go missing at West Wittering Beach

Four missing children were found safe and well at West Wittering Beach today (Wednesday, August 5).

According to Selsey Coastguard Rescue Team, it was paged to reports of four separate missing children at the beach just after 12.40pm.

A spokesperson said: "[We were] stood down as we were entering West Wittering with all children thankfully found safe and well.

"Please keep an eye on your children at all times when visiting the beach.

"Free child safe wristbands are available at the lifeguard tower on West Wittering Beach."

This fresh warning comes after the Coastguard was alerted yesterday following the disappearance of a five-year-old, who was soon found safe. Read more here
