Coats and shoes all have a place at preschool

Winter warmers worn by children have been given a new home at an Aldingbourne pre-school.

The 30 youngsters who regularly attend the Hopscotch group can now rest their coats on a new coatrack. There are also spaces for shoes to dry.

The wooden essential '“ with space for every coat '“ was built by one of the children's dad's, Dominic Short, when he heard the previous coatrack had fallen to pieces.

Pre-school manager Theresa Jackson said: "The new coatrack is absolutely superb. It is beyond our dreams."

The pre-school '“ at Aldingbourne Sports and Community Centre '“ had been without a coatrack since the end of last term.

Their previous version had been getting steadily worse for six months before it became unusable after some six years.

But it only had room for 24 coats to mean it was always a squeeze to make sure all the garments fitted on.
