Cock-a-hoop over cocker spaniel search success

TWO cocker spaniels that went missing for two days have been safely returned to their owner '“ thanks to 'true community spirit' from the people of Arundel.

Linsi Halsey lost her dogs, Phoebe and Hickory-Bear, in a field near her home in Fitzalan Road, Arundel. But thanks to a huge effort from Arundel residents they were found, with around 200 people helping out during the three-day hunt.

Mrs Halsey said: "It gives you back your faith in human nature."

Her family were over the moon at having found them and it was like all their Christmases had come at once.

She said she was touched by the huge effort the community had made adding: "If I could go round and thank everybody individually I would.
