Coffee all round for Macmillan
COFFEE was the drink of choice on Friday with dozens of people enjoying a cup of the black stuff in aid of Macmillan.
Staff at the Bupa hospital on The Ridge took a break from their duties to enjoy a cuppa, with some of the more able bodied patients joining in too.
Marketing executive Matthew Aldous said 60 people took part with members of staff baking cakes for the occasion, and deputy mayor Terry Soan coming to the hospital to lend his support as well.
Mr Aldous said: "I was quite impressed because we raised 306 overall. The support was very positive because people know what good Macmillan nurses do."
