His second book reached number one in the Heist charts on Amazon and Fear The Silence has reached number two in the Kidnapping charts.

Cameron is a former accountant and management consultant who, after two companies he worked for went bust, decided to take time off to focus on his writing. This has led to writing being Cameron’s full time occupation.

Cameron admits the series is inspired by Ian Rankin’s Rebus novels by his main inspiration Ian Rankin, He said: “I used to just read Booker Prize novels but when I first read Ian Rankin I was just taken in.”

Like Cameron himself Henderson is a Scottish man who’s relocated to the Sussex area, who finds himself around areas such as Horsham and Brighton Racecourse.

His passion for Sussex is clear and has inspired his writing. He said: “I just love Sussex, I lived in Brighton for ten years and I love the contrast between the countryside and city, Brighton’s a great city for a crime novel, lots of little streets where you can imagine a crime happening.”

Cameron hopes to feature the detective in more books in the future. He said: “I intend to go on with it, I’ve got two more books planned with ideas and plots and beyond that just keep going. I’ve also got a couple of ideas outside of the series.”

His latest book, Fear The Silence, was released via Amazon on July 1.
