College does well in Young Consumers competition

BEXHILL College has been successful in getting two teams in the final four in the county final of the Young Consumers of the Year competition.

The two teams of first year students study Food Technology AS level at the college and have put their skills and knowledge to the test through this competition.

Course tutor Liz Etherton said: "The competition requires a wide range of knowledge about consumer issues and the students really did well."

Principal Karen Hucker added: "We are really pleased to have two teams in the final, this is a real achievement and wish both teams the best of luck."

The county final takes place onTuesday in Eastbourne. Successful teams will progress to regional final in March and to a national final in June.
