Colour abounds as show lives up to expectations

An abundance of roses and sweet peas ensured Felpham and Middleton Horticultural Society's latest show lived up to its colourful reputation.

The show was the second to be held by the society this year.

Visitors to St Mary's Centre last Saturdaywere treated to an attractive sight.

The judge was also impressed with the standard of entries particularly as the weather had been so changeable recently.

Exhibits also included flowers, pot plants, fruit and vegetables as well as an attractive display of floral art.

The steady flow of visitors also took the chance to win a prize on the raffle or tombola and to buy a cake or plant at the well-stocked stalls.

The weather was too showery to have tea in the garden and the centre provided an indoor alternative.
