A colourful fun run in aid of St Michael’s Hospice will once again be running at this year’s Old Town Carnival Week.
Colour the Coast is on Sunday, August 9 and hospice organisers promise that the fundraiser will be bigger and better than 2014’s event.
Jodie Cornford, hospice fundraising assistant, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce we will be releasing tickets for Colour the Coast from early April. To keep up to date and make sure you don’t miss out to join us on Facebook for event and registration details, or by visiting our website www.stmichaelshospice.com.”
During the 4k course there will be four colour zones which runners pass through.
Here, willing helpers known as the ‘Cheery Chuckers’ shower entrants and their white t-shirt with a special 100 per cent safe colour powder. As they go, the colours build, and by the end of the course participants will have become a colourful masterpiece. At the end entrants will be invited to the finish line party extravaganza, where everyone will party together throwing powder into the sky to create a colour cloud.
This event is sponsored by Trade Paints.
