The fund supports existing projects, or aids the startup of new projects which focus on any one of five key priorities: promoting health & wellbeing in the local community; promoting community involvement and volunteering opportunities; targeting inequalities and deprivation; increasing partnership working between organisations and Promoting the regeneration of the district.

Adur District Council supports groups through community funding, up to £5,000 for projects that meet the required criteria and are finally selected.

Councillor David Simmons, executive member for Adur District Council, said: “Adur enjoys a number of excellent community and voluntary groups across the district and I have had the pleasure of meeting, working with and helping many of them. What they all have in common is the need for funds to finance their excellent work.

See www.adur-worthing.gov.uk/adur-community-grants. Applications will be accepted until 5pm on May 30.
