Peacehaven company sets off on a long walk

Screen Solutions is taking on the 40 plus mile walk which features some of the most beautiful but demanding terrain Sussex has to offer.

Staff from the Greenwich Way company will be walking non-stop from midnight on July 20 in whatever weather conditions are thrown at them.

Managing directory Dan Valovin said: “To put this into perspective it’s like walking from Brighton to London however over the downs, in the cold, possibly wet and definitely dark.”

Action Medical Research, based in Horsham, has been behind pioneering research and action such as developing the first polio vaccines, helping protect children from meningitis since 1992 , developing cooling therapy for newborns, developing the use of ultrasound scanning in pregnancy, pioneering the fetal heart rate monitor, improving survival from childhood liver disease, developing a brain scanner for babies, improving communication aids for people with disabilities and finding a gene for cleft lip and palate.

Mr Valovin said: “It is not an exaggeration to say every one of us has been affected by the research AMR do.

“You probably appreciate the enormity of this challenge and, we hope, the truly life changing work AMR do so we are hoping you would be kind enough to sponsor Screen Solutions efforts for AMR.”
