Concerns have continued

EMAIL scams and cold callers have continued to cause concern for residents across the area.

On April 19, a Compton Drive resident called police after he received an email from someone posing as his brother asking for money.

The email asked for some 950 euros. The resident, who knew his brother had not sent the plea, did not send any cash.

The same day a doorstep caller caused concern to a resident.

The caller, who said he was deaf and selling sketches, knocked at the door of a Sun Park Close home.

The male has been described as in his late teens, with short fair hair and glasses. He was wearing a white jacket and dark trousers.

Police had received a similar report from an address in Pagham.

A Barnfield resident received a phone call asking them to invest £10,000. The caller said if they had the money they would call round to discuss it.

No-one has called at the property.
