Concert marks centenary of the start of World War I in music

The Buxted and Uckfield branches of the Royal British Legion are holding a concert to commemorate the centenary of the commencement of World War I.

The concert pays tribute to the men and women who served in all the conflicts since 1914 and to the many who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

There will be popular music from 1914 until the present day provided by the renowned Uckfield Concert Brass with conductor Nick Morris and soloist international mezzo-soprano Sophie Gopsill.

The concert is on Saturday May 10 at Uckfield Civic Centre and doors open at 7pm.
