Conservative gains Burgess Hill Town seat

Conservative Andrew Barrett-Miles has been elected for Burgess Hill Town in the West Sussex County Council election.

Mr Barrett-Miles received 1016 votes.

Chris French the UKIP representative received 709 votes.

Labour’s Janet Smith received 384, Liberal Democrat Roger Cartwright received 576 votes, and the Green Party’s candidate Victoria Grimmett received 91 votes.

The number of registered votes were 9082, with 2776 votes cast with a turn out of 30.57 per cent.
